Even with 1 week left before break, we continue to strive for excellence! I encourage all students to read at least 20 minutes a night along with completing their usual math homework. Also, we've started working more specifically on word study activities. Be sure that your child remembers their word study list and practices a few minutes a night. Last week, average scores went from 65% to 80% ! What a great improvement!
MEC United Way Campaign Initiative
Lawrence Township is raising money for the United Way Foundation. United Way helps through goals that impact Education, Financial Stability, Health, and Basic Needs. Through various donations, United Way has helped many Lawrence Township families get back to the path to self-sufficiency. The LT United Way Campaign will go from October 23rd – November 17th. We are in the home stretch! Tomorrow, November 14th, for $1 you may wear your favorite hat to support the United Way Foundation!
It's Sock-vember! Now through November 17th, the Student Council will continue to collect socks for the homeless in central Indiana. Donate new pairs of socks and the class with the most donations could win a donut party!
Culver's Night is tomorrow night from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. It'll be a fun time to see families out dining together. If your schedule permits, we'll see you there!
Have a great night!
